"The Council of the European Union, together with the other EU institutions, will hold its annual Open Day on 9 May 2009. With the European elections just a few weeks away, we invite you to come and see for yourself where and how the Council works.

The doors of the Council's headquarters (the Justus Lipsius building) at Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat 175, Brussels, will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year's Open Day coincides with Europe Day, which is celebrated each year to mark the anniversary of the 1950 Schuman declaration."
