On Saturday 8 May 2010, from 10 am till 6 pm, at various locations in Brussels: the Festival of Europe.
9 May is Europe Day, the day of the European Union. One day earlier this year, the Festival of Europe will take place. Activities and celebrations in all 27 EU countries have to bring Europe closer to the citizens. Brussels, the capital of Europe, also celebrates this day. The city welcomes many institutions on its territory: the European Parliament, the Economic and Social Committee, the European Commission, the Committee of Regions and the Council of the European Union. These institutions will organize an open day with activities in the European quarter.
